United Way St. Croix and Red Cedar Valleys (UW Valleys) is proud to announce its participation in the 2026 Otto Bremer Trust Community Responsive Fund award process. Through this initiative, Otto Bremer Trust selected the United Way network as an intermediary partner to help direct resources to nonprofit organizations responding to critical local needs.

UW Valleys distributed $242,500 to organizations throughout western Wisconsin, contributing to a $4 million statewide investment through the United Way network serving Wisconsin communities.

UW Valleys nominated the Amery Regional Medical Hospital, Stepping Stones of Dunn County, West Central Wisconsin Community Action Agency, Inc., and the Workforce Resource, Inc., for funding in recognition of their work addressing critical needs across western Wisconsin. Their programs range from expanding access to nutritious food and providing housing assistance for individuals and families experiencing homelessness to improving access to mental health services for students in rural communities. The awards will help these organizations strengthen essential services, reduce barriers to support, and improve the well-being of individuals and families throughout the region.

Nominations were reviewed for alignment with Otto Bremer Trust eligibility criteria, including nonprofit governance standards, financial thresholds, and programmatic impact. The selected organizations reflect the Trust’s 2026 Focus areas and address priorities identified by UW Valleys through its deep knowledge of the community.

"Through our partnership with the Otto Bremer Trust and the United Way of Wisconsin, UW Valleys is proud to help support local organizations working every day to address the community needs and make meaningful difference throughout Western Wisconsin." Said Megan Hausch, Interim Executive Director of UW Valleys.
