To the editor,
Local elections are coming up on April 2, so I always make sure to research the candidates in order to perform my civic duty effectively. Especially in local elections, I try to identify candidates who have a strong pulse for the problems Pierce County faces.
As a voter near the UW-River Falls Campus (District 6), who’s done his homework, I can say with complete confidence: Brady Penfield is the best choice, far and away, to represent us in county government. Having known him for some time, Brady is a thoughtful and caring individual, steadfast in his commitment to serving the local community.
He’s laser focused on efficient budgeting, understanding that we can’t spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need. This common-sense approach to fiscal policy is much needed in our county government, and currently lacking from the District 6 incumbent.
Brady also understands the consequences of out-of-touch health and safety guidelines. During the pandemic, our government officials were quick to shut down businesses and keep kids out of school. This had devastating effects and will for many years to come. In the future, Brady will make decisions based on what’s best for the hardworking taxpayers and families of Pierce County.
If you want steady leadership and a novel approach to problem solving in county government, I encourage you to join me in voting for Brady Penfield for Pierce County Board (District 6). Thank you for being our voice, Brady!
