The 2025 Prescott Hall of Fame Banquet was held Saturday, Oct. 4 in the Prescott High School Commons. More than 100 people attended the sixth annual event, where Dennis Gagnier, Lonnie Larson and Marcia Lindseth were inducted.
Dennis Gagnier
Dennis Gagnier enters the Hall of Fame for his decades of service to the Prescott community. He grew up in St. Paul where he developed a strong work ethic and a love for baseball; he credits learning the game from nuns at St. Joseph’s Orphanage. After serving on President Eisenhower’s security detail, Gagnier worked 30+ years at Cenex while also serving as Oak Grove assessor, township board chairman, and Pierce County Commissioner. He devoted extraordinary time, talent, and resources to Prescott baseball, helping build fields, supporting youth programs, and continuing at age 90 to maintain the field and run the scoreboard. His impact on both the community and its baseball programs will be felt for generations.
Lonnie Larson
Class of 1976 alumnus Lonnie Larson was inducted to the Hall of Fame for his achievements as a financial services entrepreneur and global executive. After early leadership roles at Premier Financial Services and Triad Financial Services, he became Vice President at National Collection Office and later co-acquired D&S Global Services. As CEO, he expanded D&S into one of the industry’s largest firms, pioneering a successful work-from-home model and earning multiple global innovation awards. Under his leadership, the company served Fortune 500 clients worldwide and was consistently recognized for excellence, including nine consecutive years as General Electric’s top commercial service provider. Following the 2022 acquisition of D&S, Larson entered the fitness industry by purchasing several Anytime Fitness locations, attributing his success to the values, ethics and community instilled in him at Prescott.
Marcia Lindseth
Marcia Lindseth enters the Hall of Fame after four decades of leadership in education and community service in Prescott. With advanced degrees and certifications in multiple areas, she served as Principal of Malone Elementary (1983–1993) and later as District Curriculum Director, where she introduced key innovations such as all-day kindergarten, programs for gifted and special needs students, and the school’s first library. She also expanded staff support by hiring the first school counselor and nurse, oversaw the school’s grade expansion, and helped launch the D.A.R.E. program. Beyond education, Lindseth earned recognition for her literacy leadership and was awarded the Wisconsin State Reading Association’s “Celebrate Literacy Award.” She has also been an active leader in her church and community, serving in numerous organizations and fostering inclusivity in Prescott.
The Prescott Hall of Fame organization was created to recognize people in our community that have done great things, recognize people that have supported our community and our schools, and recognize people who have gone on to achieve great things. An 11-person committee selected seven people to be inducted into the 2016 inaugural Hall of Fame class.
Beginning in 2017, all inductees must be nominated by someone for Hall of Fame consideration by completing a nomination form. The form requires the nominator to provide information about the person they are nominating. The nomination form includes accomplishments, awards, etc. and must include two letters of support from someone other than the nominator. The 11-person committee created scoring rubrics that will be used to determine future Hall of Fame inductees. The two candidates (perhaps three) with the highest rubric scores will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Once a person has been nominated for the Hall of Fame they remain a nominee.
There are three different categories for nominees: achievement, extracurricular, and service. When someone nominates a person for Hall of Fame consideration, they choose the category that best fits the nominee.
Past inductees include:
2023: Jaci Kosin, Ryan Berg, Steve Block
2021: Roy Finley, Char Magee, Nick Schommer
2019: Richard Hoffman, Nicole Eggers
2017: Dallas Eggers, Brady Behrendt
2016: Mary Cotter Beeler, Kay Oys Harris, Nicholas M. Johnson, Dorothy Ahlgren Eaton, Bernie Lepley, Doc Laney, Mike Ptacek
