RIVER FALLS – The River Falls American Legion invites the public to a special Sunday, June 14, event celebrating both America’s 250th Birthday and Flag Day 2026.
Through stories, poetry and music, Jeff Gould -- known as “America’s Storyteller” -- will take the audience on a visual and verbal journey through America’s Story. Based in Sioux Falls, SD, Gould is a broadcaster, author, podcaster and motivational speaker. He notes that his presentation is historical and non-political. The afternoon will also include patriotic selections by the Croix Chordsmen, who are celebrating 75 years of four-part harmonies.
The event will be held in the auditorium at Meyer Middle School, 230 N. Ninth St., River Falls. The program will start at 2 p.m. and is expected to last slightly more than an hour. The doors will open at 1 p.m.; entrance is through the south doors. There is no charge.
Following the program, all are invited to Post 121, 701 N. Main St., River Falls, for a special Birthday Reception and an opportunity to meet and visit with Gould.
