Looking for something to do on a Friday Night in Prescott? The Prescott Area Historical Society starts its River History Speaker Series at 7 p.m. Friday, May 8. Starting off is Captain Lee Hendrix, a river pilot for over 50 years, author, riverlorian and storyteller. He will focus on the Sultana Disaster of 1865, the greatest maritime disaster in United States history.
He will be followed by six more presenters this season. Check the PAHS Facebook page for dates and times. Stop in to see our new paint job, new signs, and we are continually adding to our exhibition as more and more river pilots find out about our efforts. River history in a river town!
