HUDSON – RiverFest a “Party with a Purpose” invites you to join the celebration of the St. Croix River on July 22-25 in Hudson. While the goal of RiverFest is to get people out to enjoy the river, the purpose for the celebration is to build awareness of the river, our environment and the need to preserve our water quality.

RiverFest would not be possible without the support of our event sponsor Norlake and many other local sponsors, as well as various partner organizations who collaborate to make RiverFest a success. There will be partner and sponsor display booths with information and demonstrations before the concert, on July 23 starting at 6 p.m.

One of RiverFest’s highlights is the St. Croix Valley Community Band Concert on Thursday, July 23 at the Hudson Bandshell. The concert begins at 7 p.m. with music to appeal to people of all ages. Join us for this celebration of community and the scenic St. Croix River. Colleen Raye will be joining the concert as a featured guest artist.

Friday, July 24 starts with Let’s Go Paddling at the Willow River State Park Boat Launch at10am. The Hudson Area Public Library will host a program on Introduction to Microplastics at 5 p.m.

At 7 p.m. the Street Water Show will be at the Lakefront Park Bandshell. This is a new RiverFest program directed by Hudson’s own, Liz Malanaphy. This fun program tells the story of water as it travels through our community through interactive storytelling and will include volunteers from the audience.

Also on Friday, July 24, the free family-friendly movie “Zootopia 2” will start at dusk at the Lakefront Park Bandshell. Bring a picnic blanket and watch the movie under the stars. Pre-movie kid-friendly fun and games will be provided by the Library.

RiverFest wraps up on Saturday, July 25 with the Native American Cultural Celebration at the Lakefront Park Bandshell from 1-4 p.m.

Please visit StCroixRiverFest.org for a complete list of events for July 22-25 with details and the latest updates, or you can find St. Croix RiverFest on Facebook.
