Senior Gathering Place activities: June 25-July 4, 2025

PRESCOTT – With the Summer Solstice occurring last Friday, summer has hit us like a ball of fire! No more cool evenings and lots of watering of flowers and gardens. The newly mown hay in pastures had plenty of warm wind to dry for baling. Hoping you all stayed hydrated and used plenty of sunscreen if you needed to be out and about.

Coming activities:

Wednesday, June 25: Cards Day for Euchre from 12:30-3:30 p.m. 

Thursday, June 26: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym (125 N. Elm St.) No word yet on when the refurbished outside court will be ready. Canasta will be played from 12:30- 3:30 p.m. at the Gathering Place.

A retirement party will be held for Superintendent Dr. Rick Spicuzza from 4-7 p.m. at the Old Ptacek's Event Center.

Tuesday, July 1: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. At 9 a.m. Mahjongg players meet at Joy Lutheran Church; all skill levels welcome. NO POTLUCK THIS MONTH!

Wednesday, July 2: Cards at 12:30 p.m. for Euchre players and Bridge at 1 p.m. 

Thursday, July 3: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. No scheduled activities at room G9 today but all are welcome to stop in and play cards, games or work on puzzles.  

Friday, July 4: No Memory Cafe meeting today due to the holiday.  

Prescott Senior Gathering place is located at 1220 St. Croix St. at the Prescott Middle School, Door 5. Senior Gathering Place is open to all seniors age 55 and older. Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
