PRESCOTT – Wow! Days of sunshine and warm temps, it feels wonderful! Windows and doors open, furnace turned off, filled my hummingbird feeder as I had my first guest this morning looking for flowers. Goldfinches are back also, as are lots of dandelions in my lawn. No reason not to come out to the Gathering Place this week. If you are reading this, you missed the first Tuesday lunch (May 6) and our first of local business speakers. More such speakers to come!
Coming activities:
Wednesday, May 7: Euchre will be played at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m.
Thursday, May 8: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. Remember, until we hear that the work on the outdoor courts is completed games are in the gym. Join us at 12:30 p.m. for Canasta; new players are welcome! Art 101 meets at 1 p.m. at the Gathering Place.
Tuesday, May 13: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Intermediate School gym. Game Day begins at 1 p.m. with lots of games: Cornhole, cribbage, dominoes, five crown and more. Bring a game to share!
Wednesday, May 14: Euchre card game will be played at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 15: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. The movie “Mother’s Day,” a multi-star comedy about the experiences of motherhood, will be shown at 1 p.m. Popcorn provided.
Friday, May 16: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank community room, lower level.
Schedules are available at the Gathering Place located at 1220 St. Croix St., Prescott Middle School, Door G5.
All seniors aged 55 years and older are welcome! Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 12:30-3:30 p.m.
We will be having activities all summer so watch for future notices.
