PRESCOTT – I hope you all enjoyed your extra hour of sleep Sunday morning. Of course that means sunset is now one hour earlier! Unfortunately, that doesn't mean I go to bed earlier! The winds are blowing leaves like crazy, so raking them is a bit challenging. And I see a few snowflakes in the impending forecast as well as windchill, so I guess I better get used to the fact that fall is over!
Coming activities:
Wednesday, Nov. 5: Cards Day with Euchre at 12:30 p.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 6: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym (125 Elm St. N.) Art 101/Watercolors meets at 1 p.m.; beginners welcome!
Friday, Nov. 7: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank Community Room lower level.
Tuesday, Nov. 11: HAPPY VETERANS DAY! Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. Bring a friend and dish to pass at the noon potluck lunch. At 1 p.m., our speaker Amy Hildebrandt Schommer, owner of the Ridgetop, will tell us all about her growing business!
Wednesday, Nov. 12: Euchre card game will be played at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 13: Pickleball players meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Prescott Intermediate School gym. Canasta players meet at 12:30 p.m.
Prescott Senior Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5, of the Prescott Middle School. Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. All seniors age 55 and older are welcome to attend.
