PRESCOTT – It's the third week of October and it is really looking and feeling like fall outside. A couple evenings of light frost have meant moving some plants indoors to live out their growing season or to survive until spring. With Halloween around the corner pumpkins, witches and scarecrows are everywhere. Have you been to a corn maze yet?
Coming activities:
Wednesday, Oct. 15: Program/Publicity Committees meet at 10:15 a.m., followed by Cards Day; Euchre is played at 12:30 p.m., and Bridge at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 16: Pickleball will be played at 8:30 a.m. in the gym at the Prescott Intermediate School (125 Elm St. N.) At 1 p.m., we’ll show the movie "The Way We Were" with Robert Redford and Barbara Streisand; popcorn will be served.
Friday, Oct. 17: Memory Cafe meets from 10-11:30 a.m. at the First National Bank Community Room, lower level.
Tuesday, Oct. 21: Pickleball will be played at 8:30 a.m. in the gym at the Prescott Intermediate School. At 10 a.m., Hooks and Needles group will meet; bring your projects (no teaching). At 12:30 p.m. play Left, Right, Center dice game; bring your dimes.
Prescott Senior Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St. at Prescott Middle School, enter at Door 5. All seniors aged 55 years and older are invited to attend. Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
