Starting Nov. 1, the center will adjust its hours to accommodate winter visitors and provide a hub for seasonal activities.
From Nov. 1 through April 30, the Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center will be open on the weekends only, Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. This schedule allows families and nature enthusiasts to plan their visits around the weekend while still enjoying the serene beauty of the riverfront during the quieter winter months.
The center is not just a place to learn about the history and ecology of the area; it also serves as a starting point for various winter activities:
